Enterprise Learning & Capability

Building the capability to work differently.

I lead learning functions that connect organizational priorities, technology, and everyday work. My experience spans team leadership, budget stewardship, learning technology, and helping people put available tools into practice.

Courses using Canvas beyond the gradebook

Fall 2021–August 2026.

Team size, reach, and budget describe scope of responsibility. The Canvas figure is the share of courses using features beyond the gradebook; it is not a measure of overall platform usage or learning outcomes.

Selected work

Relevant cases

Challenge
Move faculty and workforce development beyond isolated workshops toward a coherent capability system.
My contribution
Built and led a five-person enterprise enablement function and developed a multimodal ecosystem: certificate programs, cohort experiences, asynchronous learning, microlearning, consultations, workshops, podcasts, observations, and just-in-time support.
Scope
A coordinated learning function serving 1,000+ employees at A.T. Still University.
Challenge
Canvas was available, but availability alone did not ensure meaningful use.
My contribution
Led sustained enablement efforts to help faculty integrate Canvas into instructional practice.
Measured change
The share of courses using Canvas features beyond the gradebook increased from approximately 11% in Fall 2021 to 59% in August 2026.

Relevant to expanding how people use enterprise learning technology: the measure tracked course use of additional features such as pages, assignment submissions/dropboxes, assignments, discussions, announcements, and modules.

Challenge
Rapidly move a complex health-sciences university into online operation during an unprecedented disruption.
My contribution
Combined technology deployment with behavior-change strategy: continuous support, needs sensing, centralized resources, daily communication, train-the-trainer practices, rapid iteration, and a network of 17 Zoom moderators.
Documented result
Classes resumed March 23, 2020.

How I approach enterprise learning

01

Connect learning to the work

Start with organizational priorities and the tasks people need to perform. Identify where learning, clearer workflows, or practical support can help.

02

Build a coordinated function

Connect people, learning resources, technology, and support around shared priorities.

03

Measure application over time

Look at how people apply tools and practices in their work, where they still need support, and whether changes persist.
