About
Understanding people. Making technology work.
My work starts with understanding how people learn, make decisions, and use technology in their everyday work. That understanding helps me identify what needs to change—in the product, the workflow, or the support people receive.
Over more than twenty years, I’ve approached those questions through research, product development, and enterprise learning. At Pearson, I helped turn learner and instructor needs into product decisions. At Boise State, I built and led an interdisciplinary research lab. At A.T. Still University, I lead a learning and technology function and chair the AI Governance Committee.
Across those roles, I connect evidence to practical decisions: what to build, how to introduce it, and how to understand whether it is helping. That includes developing learning systems, evaluating product experiences, and designing AI workflows with clear boundaries for human judgment.
Through Research IQ, I also work independently on applied research and human-AI evaluation. The questions continue to evolve, but the purpose stays consistent: help people and organizations make informed decisions about technology and put those decisions into practice.
